ATV Tour Tips |
|
| Here's a few things to consider
before renting an ATV or taking an ATV tour: |
- Get plenty of sleep the night before. Riding ATV's is
an active sport and having a good nights sleep will help you
enjoy the time better.
- Eat a good meal. Active sports use a lot of energy.
Since Las Vegas is desert country, you will also want to make
sure you hydrate your body before the tour.
- Bring extra clothing. You will want to bring an extra
set of clothes in case of weather changes and also to change
into after the tour. Your clothes will get dusty when
riding on the trails.
- Bring comfortable shoes that will also protect your feet.
No open-toed shoes or sandals are allowed on the tours.
Rocks and debris could get kicked up and hurt your feet.
Wear thick comfortable cotton socks.
- If you sunburn easily, consider wearing a cool, long-sleeve
shirt or bring sunblock. Sunblock should be water-based if
possible so you do not collect the dust on your skin.
- Don't drink alcoholic beverages or take medication that
makes you sleepy before riding ATV's. This can lead to
accidents and we don't want anyone to hurt themselves or others.
- If you bring your own beverages to take along, make sure
they're in plastic containers with good sealing tops.
Glass WILL break and insecure tops WILL vibrate off during the
tour.
- Chocolate will melt, you may want to consider another type
of pocket snack if you should want to bring something along.
- Pocket tissues are a good item to bring... just in case
someone has to heed nature's calling. There are no
restrooms around.
- Be aware of your surroundings when walking about during
breaks. There are just as many snakes and critters in the
mountains as below in the desert.
- And most of all... be ready to have a
lot of FUN!
